Currently Reading

I am currently reading A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness, the first book in the All Souls Series. 

I have not shared with you yet, but I love reading! Reading is one of my favorite hobbies, granted now that I am a parent I am not able to read as much as I used to. 

I like to pick my books based on a theme. For October I always like to read something in horror or supernatural. A Discovery of Witches has been on my TBR (to be read) list for a while and I thought this October would be the perfect time to get started.

Currently Listening

I am currently listening to Coffee + Crumbs Podcast season 1, currently on episode 16. 

I have found a love for podcasts and love to listen while I work, drive, and do chores. Listening to podcasts helps me relax. 

I recently found the Coffee + Crumbs Podcast on Apple podcast and I am loving it. It’s essentially a podcast made from a blog that “tell[s] stories about motherhood.” They sadly only publish two episodes per month, but since I just started I have eight seasons to work through.

Do you have any podcasts that you recommend?   

Currently Watching

I am currently watching HBO’s House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones.

I am a huge TV fan. Ever since Netflix and other streaming services came out I am loving binge watching tv shows, however, I do miss the old way of watching TV one episode at a time. Finding a new show that released episodes once a week helps fill that void.  

I was a fan of Game of Thrones and have now watched it 3 times in total, so when I heard HBO was releasing a prequel, I signed up for it right away.

House of the Dragon thus far is not as exciting as Game of Thrones, but I do enjoy it. If I did not compare House of the Dragon to Game of Thrones I think I would like it a lot more. It’s hard for prequels and sequels to live up to the originals. I’m looking forward to watching the season finale sometime this week.

I am currently loving these recently shopped items all from Target: Simple Modern Tumbler, Cat & Jack Rainbow Striped Pajama Set, Celina Water Repellant Chelsea Boots- by Universal Thread, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Fall Leaves Hand Soap.

Simple Modern Tumbler 

I bought this Simple Modern Tumbler in midnight black 24 ounces. This tumbler is stainless steel and made to keep your drinks cold. I love getting new bottles to encourage my water intake. I bought this tumbler specifically to match my new car and to use for iced coffee or tea. 

Simple Modern has some really cute designs. Most of their designs are simple and elegant, which is great for my personal preference. I like to choose items that are classic and timeless, thus the midnight black color choice. They also offer their tumblers in multiple sizes, you can choose between 12oz, 16oz, 20oz, 24oz, 28oz, and 32oz. So much variety!   

Cat & Jack Rainbow Striped Pajama Set

I love buying new pajamas for my baby. Cat & Jack at Target has these super soft, warm, velour pajama sets that they release during the cold seasons. When I saw this print I knew I needed to add it to her collection of pajamas. Cat & Jack Rainbow Striped Pajama Set looks great and makes cuddling more fun.

I love that these pajama sets come in two pieces, but if you prefer one piece they also offer them in a zip up pajama romper. Pajamas are currently on sale at Target, time to stock up for the season.

Celina Water Repellant Chelsea Boots- by Universal Thread

The best part about fall is the fall outfits. Sweaters, boots, coats, bring it on. 

I needed to add a new pair of boots to my closet to replace my worn black booties. I found this great Celina Water Repellant Chelsea Boots- by Universal Thread at Target. These boots are so affordable at only $39.99. When I bought them they were on sale, keep a lookout for when these boots will go on sale again. Since the price is affordable this leaves room in my budget to buy another pair of boots for the season. I love boots!

The exact pair that I got is black and is now sold out, but I know Target restocks on popular items so it is worth it to check back on this color. I like to keep sold out items in my saved for later cart to remind myself to check availability.

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Fall Leaves Hand Soap

Buying seasonal things is such a privilege. This is a minimal way to bring fall into your bathroom. I bought Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Fall Leaves Hand Soap to put in both my guest bath and personal bath. 

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day soaps and cleaning collection are “made with plant-derived ingredients, essential oils and other thoughtfully formulated ingredients.” I usually use Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Lemon Verbena Hand Soap year round, but enjoy their limited seasonal release scents. This fall you can enjoy Fall Leaves, Acorn Spice, and Apple Cider.   

I love this Fall Leaves scent, the smell is long lasting and I can enjoy it on my hands long after washing in the morning at home. I feel safe using this clean product. If we run out of fall leaves I am going to buy Apple Cider next.
